PNB Online Course
The Basic Navigation Skipper (PNB) is the second official qualification you can obtain after the Navigation License. With this qualification, you can expand your knowledge and also the authority to operate vessels. The PNB is an excellent option if you're unsure which nautical qualification you want. Later, you could take the online course to obtain the Recreational Craft Skipper (PER) if the PNB isn't sufficient for your needs. Compared to the PER, the PNB has a shorter syllabus (covering only up to topic 6 of the PER) and an exam with fewer questions. Once you have this qualification, if you wish to obtain the Recreational Craft Skipper (PER) qualification, you can take a bridging course and sit the exam covering only the remaining material, all online.

PNB ONLINE COURSE Practices
To obtain the Basic Navigation Skipper title, it is necessary to complete some compulsory internships, which you can complete in a flexible way adapted to your availability.
Safety and Navigation Practices
You must complete a total of 16 hours of navigation in motorboats, which can be organized into two 8-hour trips or four 4-hour trips.
GNP Exam
The exam consists of 27 multiple choice questions that are answered in 45 minutes, with a maximum of 10 errors allowed (no more than 4 referring to Regulations and 2 to Markings).

What is the price of GNP?
The price of the PNB (Basic Navigation Certificate) will depend on the option you choose. You can choose from the following online options: PNB for motorboats, PNB plus sailing endorsement, and PNB with extension for sailing between the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, the latter being the most comprehensive option. What is better GNP or PER?
The candidate's aspirations are decisive: the PNB may be easier to obtain, but its privileges, especially as regards the maximum length and the maximum distance from the coast, may be too restrictive. If you consider that sailing is your passion and that the PNB will not be sufficient for your objectives, you can directly opt for obtaining the PER.
How long will it take to get my PNB online?
The number of hours you can dedicate to studying the syllabus each day is essential. The Generalitat announces the exam every month, and one month is a reasonable period of time to prepare if you dedicate the appropriate amount of time.
How long does it take to correct the GNP?
The PNB exam is administered by the Generalitat, which is also responsible for marking and publishing the official grades. In the days following the exam, the marking is published, which you can check for yourself using the solution template. However, the official grades may take up to two weeks to be available.
