Expansion of the PER: Balearic Islands and Sailing
The attributions of basic practices do not allow navigation between the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. To be able to carry out this navigation, complementary practices are required that allow navigation between the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, in addition to being able to govern boats up to 24 meters in length.

PER Expansion Practices
With the expansion of the PER powers we can increase, on the one hand, the governance with larger vessels, both motorized and sailing, and on the other hand, navigation beyond the limitations with the coast as a reference; being able to reach the Balearic Islands.
Navigation practices to navigate with boats up to 24 meters in length between the peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
Sailing practices, to navigate with sailing pleasure boats, up to 15 to 24 meters in length
Basic Attributions – PER Practices
- Government of motorized pleasure boats (maximum 15 meters in length). It allows navigation up to 12 miles from the coast.
- Government of motorized pleasure boats (maximum 15 meters in length) for navigation between islands within the Balearic and Canary archipelago.
- Government of nautical motorcycles, within the specific navigation limits applicable to them, in accordance with their technical characteristics.
