Nautical medical certificate: what it consists of and how to get it
The nautical medical certificate is a mandatory requirement for obtaining the PER (Recreational Skipper's License). It serves to certify that there are no limitations incompatible with operating recreational vessels, similar to the medical examination required for a driver's license.
To obtain it, you simply need to make an appointment at a Driver Assessment Center (CRC). There, they will perform simple tests (vision, hearing, and reflexes) and, if everything is correct, they will give you the certificate to present when processing your license.
