GNP vs P/E: what changes with the complementary
If you already have the PNB (Basic Navigation Certificate), you're just one step away from the PER (Recreational Skipper's Certificate). The supplementary course allows you to make the leap without repeating what you already know: you only study the exclusive PER syllabus and do the same practical training as any standard PER student.
| Attribution | GNP | PER ✦ |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum length | up to 8 m | up to 15 m |
| Distance to the coast | up to 6 miles | up to 12 miles |
| Night navigation | No | Yeah |
| Sailing license | No | Yes (optional) |
| Jet skis | Yes (restricted) | Yes (without limit) |
| Exam questions | 50 questions | Only 18 (complementary) |
Why choose the complementary option?
Less study, same official degree
With the PNB you've already passed section 70% of the PER syllabus. The supplementary course builds on that knowledge: you only study the new material.
Only 5 new tracks
Forget about repeating what you already know. You only study the units exclusive to the PER (Recreational Skipper's License).
18 exam questions
Instead of the standard 50 PER. Easier to prepare for and pass.
Practices at Port Olímpic
