Powers of the PER Motor

The basic or motor PER grants the holder a series of essential powers for the navigation of pleasure craft. These powers include:

  • Type of boat: The basic PER allows the steering of vessels up to 15 meters in length.
  • Distance from the Coast: With this title, you can sail up to 12 nautical miles from the coast both day and night.
  • Night Navigation: The basic PER skipper is authorized for night navigation.
  • Day Navigation: In addition to night sailing, the basic PER holder can sail during the day in open and coastal waters.

Extensions of the PER Title and its Prices

Extension of the PER for Navigation between the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands: +300 euros

This extension allows PER skippers to navigate between the peninsula and the Balearic Islands. The additional cost of this extension is approximately 300 euros, in addition to the price of the PER Mótor (basic).

This extension allows you to:

  • Distance from the Coast: The maximum distance from the coast is extended to 24 nautical miles.
  • Night Navigation: This extension also allows night navigation.

Extension of the PER to Govern Sailboats: +200 euros

If you have a passion for sailboats and want to become a pleasure boat skipper on this type of boat, you can opt for the corresponding extension for an additional cost of approximately 200 euros.

This extension allows you to:

  • Type of boat: You can govern sailboats up to 15 meters in length.
  • Distance from the Coast: The maximum distance from shore remains 12 nautical miles.
  • Night and Day Navigation: This extension allows both night and day navigation on sailboats.

Extension of the Full PER to Sail with Sailboats and between the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands: 800 euros

The most comprehensive PER expansion, known as “Full PER,” combines the two previous expansions and gives you a complete set of powers.

This extension allows you to:

  • Type of boat: You can govern sailboats and boats up to 24 meters in length.
  • Distance from the Coast: The maximum distance from the coast is extended to 24 nautical miles.
  • Night and Day Navigation: You have authorization for night and day navigation on both sailboats and other vessels.

Option to Separate the Theoretical and Practical Part:

It is important to highlight that, in addition to the traditional courses that combine the theoretical and practical part, there is the option of carrying out these two stages separately. This means that you can choose to complete the theoretical part first before tackling the practical ones in the water.
